The weekend of March 4th-6th, Katie Cotton and I attended America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. In light of the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been enjoying here on the East Coast, you may be surprised to hear that that weekend was the coldest Chicago has experienced all winter! Yet, despite the winter chill, we made the most of our visit, and took in as much as we could of Chicago’s beautiful architecture, fabulous restaurants, and awesome residents. It is a clean, sexy, and trendy place!
Each evening, we went out to eat and had the pleasure of trying all different types of cuisine – Italian at Coco Pazzo Café, Asian fusion at Sundra, and delicious seafood at Fish & GT Oyster. For lunches, we visited The Public House and The Rockit Bar and Grill. Besides enjoying the food, we reveled in people-watching; taking note of the Chicagoans’ unique style. Their hair was fresh, newly colored, with clean-cut ends – nothing too crazy or over-the-top, but nicely styled, and trendy.
When you’re fortunate enough to live in a beautiful, fashionable place – like Chicago – it’s easy to draw inspiration from it, and translate that vibe into an attractive, stylish look. So, do like the Chicagoans do, and look around your world and notice the beauty that exists all around you – the exquisiteness of a gorgeous sunset, the charming neighborhood in which you live, or your favorite city. When you get dressed in the morning and prep yourself for your day, allow your look to be an expression of your innate magnificence, and the loveliness that exists all around!
