This Independence Day, as we celebrate the birth of our nation, let us take a few quiet moments to send thoughts of support to the soldiers who have fought for our freedom.

SALON CLOSINGS

In celebration of the Independence Day holiday, Salon True will be closed on Saturday, July 3. We are closed on Sunday and Monday and will re-open on Tuesday, July 6.

We will also be closed July 17 through July 20 while attending the Professional Beauty Association's Symposium in Las Vegas.

If you need to book an appointment prior to the 17th, please give us a call and we will do our very best to accommodate all customers. We realize that this may be a minor inconvenience, but you will be better served long term by having highly knowledgeable business owners and team members capable of supporting the vision of the Salon True Team and its dedication to you.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month

Senator Kennedy's brain tumor diagnosis and death just eight months ago brought international attention to this dreadful and devastating disease. As he is remembered as a tireless health care advocate who displayed courage and strength in his final battle against an unrelenting illness, others continue the fight.

This month alone, more than 5,000 Americans will be diagnosed with a primary brain tumor; another 20,000 will learn that cancer in another part of their body has spread to the brain. All told, more than 600,000 individuals are living with a brain tumor diagnosis and its devastating impact on their physical, emotional, social and financial well-being.

With so many more people living longer with a brain tumor diagnosis, we need to keep the research momentum going. And we need to make sure that patients and families and caretakers have access to resources and information that answer their questions and help them better understand and cope with this disease.

During Brain Tumor Awareness Month in May, the American Brain Tumor Association remains committed to pursuing increased funding of brain tumor research and advocating for the best possible brain tumor treatment and patient care.

Dear Friends,

It is at this time of year when we take time to reflect and give thanks for the bounty of our lives. Thanksgiving is also a great time to remember those who have less. If you know a local family in need who could use the help of others around the holiday, write in and tell us about them. Just send us an email or an anonymous letter to the addresses below by November 18th to have that family considered. All correspondence will be kept in the strictest confidence. Two random entrants will receive a $100.00 gift card from Salon True to an area grocery store, so that the spirit of the holiday can be kept alive. Winners will be selected on November 21st and families will be notified by telephone. Please provide all contact information.
